- Marketing agency cuts ribbon on new facility:FifthColor, a local marketing and commercial print agency, cut the ribbon on its new 53,000-square-foot facility in Sheboygan Falls Feb. 25. The two-story agency houses two large conference rooms, a game room, a full gym with locker rooms, a custom-designed and printed basketball court, a 60-foot-wide green screen studio, a sound-proof film room and numerous collaboration spaces. The company supports a roster of clients and recurring campaign work for companies like Adidas, Molson Coors, PGA, Champs, Foot Locker, Top Golf’s Toptracer, Frank Mayer and Associates Inc., Huberty, Miesfeld’s Triangle Market, Waldo State Bank, Mersberger Financial Group, and more. - ‘She Kills Monsters’ coming to Paradigm:Sheboygan Theater Company’s STC Studio Players will present “She Kills Monsters” at Paradigm Coffee & Music, 1202 N. Eighth St., in Sheboygan, March 31-April 2. The show tells the story of Agnes Evans, a young woman grieving for her deceased sister. The show is suitable for teenage and adult audiences. Paradigm requests all attendees provide proof of vaccination at the door. More info: stcshows.org.
- Flapjack Day March 20: Maywood Environmental Park, 3615 Mueller Road, in Sheboygan, will host its 34th annual Flapjack Day from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. March 20. The event will be outdoors. Admission is $5 through March 7, or $8 after March 7, while kids 2 and younger are admitted free. Advanced ticket purchase is recommended, as tickets are limited. Go to gomaywood.org or call 920-459-3906 to order advance tickets. Admission includes one visit to each tasting station and unlimited visits to tours and activities. Tasting stations include a pancake with Maywood maple syrup, maple breakfast sausage, maple snow cone, maple-themed baked good, coffee or hot cocoa, and maple sap tea. Activities include maple forest tours with hands-on activity stations, viewing of the Dave Kuckuk sugar house, Lumberjack Games with Camp Y-Koda, Maple Feats games, and more. Show your Flapjack Day spirit and participate in the first-ever lumberjack and lumberjill costume contest. Contest is limited to 10 participants. Pre-registration is required by March 17.
- Shipwreck presentation March 15: The next in Sailing Education Association of Sheboygan’s shipwreck series will be at 6:15 p.m. March 15 at the Sheboygan Yacht Club, 214 Pennsylvania Ave. The presentation will be on Lake Michigan’s World War I U-boat Shipwreck, presented by Matt Wierzbach, SEAS program director. Admission is free and open to the public. RSVP to [email protected].
- Junior Achievement seeks volunteers: Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is looking for volunteers in Sheboygan County interested in providing young people with financial and career life skills. Local JA teams can share the kindergarten through 12th-grade classes that need a volunteer. Most JA programs require three to seven classroom visits. Other volunteer opportunities exist for those who want to teach online or create pre-recorded videos about their careers. Junior Achievement is at 1441 N. Taylor Drive, Sheboygan.
