New Dickson meat market house owners ‘put everything’ into starting off company

Kenny Riley’s route to Downtown Dickson company operator began with bagging groceries.

Riley, 34, started out at the base as a Kroger staff in Dickson. Virtually 18 a long time later, he experienced moved into the meat department, innovative to meat supervisor at the Brentwood shop, and at some point managed two diverse Krogers. 

But for at minimum three of these years Riley was lacking “passion” in his work. 

“It is an artwork, is what it is,” said Riley, describing the skills of a meatcutter. “I missed it. I went into administration to see how I appreciated that. It wasn’t my thing.” 

This summer time, he and wife Amanda opened Riley’s Meat Sector, just off Most important Road. It’s an strategy they had discussed for decades. With a family members to consider — McKenna and Emma, both 15, and 6-year-aged Parker — the Rileys cautiously began checking out their alternatives.
