Kenny Riley’s route to Downtown Dickson company operator began with bagging groceries.
Riley, 34, started out at the base as a Kroger staff in Dickson. Virtually 18 a long time later, he experienced moved into the meat department, innovative to meat supervisor at the Brentwood shop, and at some point managed two diverse Krogers.

“I failed a number of times but I discovered from that. They confirmed me how to do it proper, and anything clicked. I really like it,” Riley explained.
Riley purchases their grass-fed, black angus beef from Joel’s Farm in Bon Aqua and the grain-fed meat from KLD farms, in close proximity to the Cheatham-Dickson county border. Riley’s Meat Current market employs a seafood distributor who performs directly with the fishermen.
“We see what we can get, the freshest we can get it,” Riley said.
In addition to meat, the store sells some regional sauces and honey designed by White Bluff few Tony and Chelsea Vargas. They also have Riley’s Meat Marketplace shirts, adjourned with the design and style they crafted functioning along with Allegra in Dickson.
Shoppers have commented on the meat pricing being competitive with nearby grocers.
“A whole lot of people tell me I shouldn’t be as very low (on costs) as I am. But I just want to be fair,” Riley explained. “I am not in this business to be a millionaire. I just want to pay out the costs, spend the associates, hold the doors open, and stay comfortably.”
